Multi-vehicle accidents reported in Tijuana and Nuevo Laredo
Two separate multi-vehicle accidents occurred in Mexico, resulting in injuries in one instance and significant property damage in another.
In the Mariano Matamoros neighborhood of Tijuana, a collision involving six vehicles and a motorcycle left an elderly woman injured. Preliminary reports suggest the accident was caused by a young man driving a red BMW while intoxicated. The woman was rescued from her Toyota sedan by Red Cross personnel and transported to a hospital for medical attention. The driver was detained by authorities.
In Nuevo Laredo, a four-vehicle pileup occurred on César López de Lara Avenue due to a suspected brake failure. A Nissan Urvan, driven by a 41-year-old logistics employee, struck a stationary Dodge Journey before rebounding into a Chevrolet Trax and a Nissan truck belonging to the Asociación de Agentes Aduanales de Nuevo Laredo. The incident caused heavy traffic congestion but resulted in no reported injuries.
