Multicoin Capital transfers $21.7 million in HYPE to Coinbase Prime

Multicoin Capital has transferred 261,555 HYPE tokens, part of the Hyperliquid ecosystem, to Coinbase Prime. The total value of these transfers is estimated at approximately $21.7 million.

The movement occurred in three separate transactions. This transfer has raised questions regarding potential institutional selling pressure, as HYPE recently tested price ranges between $84 and $87 before entering a more horizontal trading phase.

While large transfers to institutional services like Coinbase Prime are often interpreted by the market as preparation for selling, they do not definitively confirm an intent to liquidate. Such movements can also be used for institutional custody, over-the-counter (OTC) trades, or collateral reorganization.
