Multiplace Mais announces pause for 2027 Summer Festival

Multiplace Mais, a prominent entertainment complex in Meaípe, Guarapari, has announced a pause in its traditional Summer Festival for the 2027 season after 26 consecutive years of operation.

Founder Bruno Lawall cited three primary reasons for the decision: the rising costs of national artist fees, increased competition from free public events funded by government entities, and climate uncertainty regarding potential heavy rains. Lawall noted that the proliferation of state-funded free shows creates an unequal playing field for private producers who must recoup investments through ticket sales and consumption.

Despite the hiatus, the company emphasized that the decision follows a rigorous financial and market feasibility analysis and is not a permanent closure.
