Multiple accidents on Spain's AP-7 highway disrupt traffic
A video posted on Instagram showed a black car traveling at high speed on the AP-7 near Papiol, Tarragona, repeatedly changing lanes before crashing into a barrier on July 6. Five occupants fled the scene carrying objects, and the Mossos d'Esquadra launched a search, later arresting the five suspects, including a driver driving without a valid licence.
Within the same stretch of the AP-7, three separate collisions occurred between Granollers, La Roca del Vallès and Cardedeu. The first incident involved six vehicles and 22 people but caused no serious injuries. The second, minutes later, left a driver hospitalized and several minors injured. A third crash at Cardedeu resulted in three people injured. The accidents prompted lane closures and traffic jams extending up to 15 kilometres.
