Fraport reports revenue growth amid Terminal 3 expansion

Fraport AG reported a 3.8 percent increase in group revenue to 3.466 billion euros for the first nine months of 2026. While passenger numbers at the home hub in Frankfurt have seen stagnation, growth at international locations, particularly in Greece, Slovenia, and Brazil, has driven overall performance. The company’s EBITDA reached a record 1.178 billion euros.

The newly opened Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport, a four billion euro project, has handled approximately 4.4 million passengers since its April launch. Despite not yet reaching its 19 million annual capacity, management described the terminal as a success that has relieved operational pressure at the airport. Condor is scheduled to move its operations fully to Terminal 3 in April 2027.

However, the group faced challenges at Antalya Airport, where passenger numbers fell by 3.2 percent due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and tourism demand shifts. Additionally, while revenue and EBITDA rose, net profit was impacted by higher interest expenses and scheduled depreciation following major infrastructure investments.
