Multiple fatal traffic accidents reported in North Macedonia and Bulgaria
Multiple fatal and serious traffic accidents were reported in North Macedonia and Bulgaria.
In North Macedonia, two separate heavy collisions occurred on September 19. The first took place on the Bitola–Prilep road near Tulanata involving an Opel and a Ford, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old passenger and injuries to four others, including a seven-year-old child. The second accident occurred on the Kumanovo–Skopje highway near Agino Selo between a Mercedes and an Opel Corsa. This collision killed two male passengers, aged 49 and 71, and left three others injured. The 65-year-old driver of the Mercedes was detained by authorities.
In Bulgaria, a collision occurred near the village of Mramoren on the II-15 road involving a Volkswagen Passat and a Mercedes. The accident, caused by excessive speed, left two passengers from the Volkswagen injured and hospitalized in Vratsa. The drivers tested negative for alcohol and drugs.
