Multiple fires cause property damage in La Joya and Ciudad Guayana

Two separate fire incidents were reported on Sunday, resulting in significant material losses but no reported casualties.

In the Héroes Anónimos housing association in the La Joya district, a fire destroyed three precarious homes built of wood and plywood. Residents evacuated the structures safely and used buckets of water to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring properties. Ricardo Aragón, president of the association, stated that the community is organizing fundraising efforts and has requested emergency humanitarian aid and construction materials from district Mayor Haydee Quispesivana.

In Ciudad Guayana, a grey Orinoco vehicle was completely consumed by flames on Leopoldo Sucre Figarella Avenue near the Macagua Bridge. The fire occurred during the night, causing dense smoke and traffic delays for passing motorists. No injuries were reported in the vehicle fire.
