Multiple injuries reported in Dutch traffic accidents
Two separate traffic accidents occurred in the Netherlands over the weekend, resulting in multiple injuries.
In Wenum Wiesel, a motorcycle carrying two people crashed on the Zwolseweg near the Wieselseweg around 02:50 on Sunday. The vehicle left the road and struck a bus shelter. One passenger was rushed to a hospital in Zwolle, while the other sustained lighter injuries and was also transported for medical treatment.
On the N267 between Wijk en Aalburg and Giessen, a head-on collision occurred between a private car and a security company vehicle. An elderly couple in the private car sustained serious injuries and had to be freed by firefighters. The security guard involved was also transported to a hospital with various injuries, though they were not reported as serious. Witnesses suggested the security vehicle may have been driving on the wrong side of the road. Police have launched investigations into both incidents.
