Multiple local businesses close in Matsuyama and Moriguchi

Several long-standing or local businesses have recently closed in Matsuyama and Moriguchi.

In Matsuyama’s Dogo Shopping Street, two establishments have ceased operations. Fuku-fuku-tei, an izakaya that was operated by a married couple and frequented by locals, closed its doors on August 12. Additionally, Sumiya Tobe-yaki, a shop specializing in Tobe ware, is now listed as closed on various map services, though its exact closing date remains unconfirmed.

In Moriguchi, the unmanned dumpling sales outlet ‘Fukuchan Gyoza Factory Direct Store Moriguchi-shi Station Branch’ closed on October 8. While the physical location near Moriguchi-shi Station is now seeking new tenants, the business noted that products remain available through their online store and nearby locations, such as the Sekime branch in Osaka.
