Multiple road accidents reported in Italy
Two separate vehicle accidents have been reported on Italian state roads.
In Termoli, on the Statale 16, a driver lost control of a vehicle, striking a guardrail and ending up in a drainage ditch. Firefighters from the Termoli detachment and medical personnel from the 118 service responded to the scene. The driver was transported to a hospital for medical evaluation, and Carabinieri are investigating the cause of the crash.
On the SS18 between Villammare and Sapri, a collision occurred involving a Fiat 500L and a Lancia Y. Preliminary reports suggest a 79-year-old driver lost control of the Fiat, impacting the oncoming Lancia. Three people were injured, including a 36-year-old woman and a young man in the Lancia, and the elderly driver, who was taken to the Immacolata hospital in Sapri. Carabinieri conducted technical surveys at the scene, and the incident caused traffic delays on the busy arterial road.
