Multiple shootings in North Carolina leave several injured in Greensboro and near Raleigh

A shooting in Greensboro early Sunday morning around 1:50 a.m. on West Gate City Boulevard injured several people. Police, fire and emergency crews responded, but the department has not released the number of victims or the severity of their injuries. Mayor Marikay Abuzuaiter expressed solidarity with the victims and said detectives are gathering evidence, with a press conference planned for later Sunday.

The following night, a separate incident near Raleigh in Wake County left four people wounded. Officers responded to 10100 Joe Leach Road after reports of a gunshot, finding two adult men, a minor and later a fourth adult with gunshot wounds. The road was closed for investigators, and the Wake County Sheriff’s Office has asked the public for information. No arrests have been made and both investigations remain ongoing.
