Series of traffic accidents, injuries and fires reported across the Netherlands

A number of incidents were recorded across several Dutch provinces in June. On the A15 near Barneveld a heavy trailer fell into a ditch without causing injuries. In Buurmalsen a motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a car. Other road accidents included a van overturned in a berm near Leusden, a car catching fire on the Westervoortsedijk in Arnhem and multiple collisions that sent vehicles into ditches in Kerkwijk and on the N360 near Garmerwolde.

Separate criminal incidents were also reported. Police in Eerbeek are searching for a suspect after a stabbing left a young man wounded. In Heerenveen authorities are searching for a man who used stolen PIN cards to withdraw thousands of euros from an ATM and a supermarket. A 18‑year‑old was injured in a stabbing on Westerstraat in Ter Apel, with a minor suspect detained.

Additional emergencies involved a house fire caused by a fallen tree in Giethoorn, a kitchen fire in a residential building in Zuidbroek and a lightning‑induced blaze at a senior housing complex in Leidschendam.
