Multiple vehicle accidents reported in Australia and Hong Kong
Two separate vehicle accidents occurred on August 16, 2026, in Australia and Hong Kong, resulting in injuries and emergency rescues.
In New South Wales, Australia, a multi-vehicle collision on the Henry Parkes Way near Manildra left three people injured. Paramedics and a rescue helicopter responded to the scene. Two patients, including a man in his 30s, were treated for minor injuries at Orange Health Service. A woman in her 40s was trapped in a vehicle before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital with head and leg injuries. The road was closed in both directions near Old Orange Road.
In Tseung Kwan O, Hong Kong, a seven-seater Toyota overturned on Wan Po Road in the early hours of the morning. The vehicle struck a central divider before traveling fifty meters and flipping. Three occupants were briefly trapped before being extricated by firefighters. A 30-year-old female passenger was taken to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for treatment of numbness and a headache, while the driver and another male passenger remained at the scene to assist police.
