Mumbai Crime Branch arrests major charas supplier in Bihar

The Mumbai Crime Branch's anti-narcotics cell has arrested a primary supplier involved in a high-profile case involving the seizure of charas worth over 100 million rupees (10 crore). The arrest took place in East Champaran, Bihar, after the suspect attempted to flee to Nepal.

The investigation began on August 17, when a team from the Worli unit arrested an individual near Bandra Terminus with more than 10 kilograms of charas. Following interrogation, the suspect identified the main supplier, leading police to track him to the Raxaul district and eventually East Champaran.

Authorities have also linked the case to suspected international smuggling networks. Investigations have raised suspicions regarding Husain Dad, an Afghan national from Kandahar, who is allegedly connected to ISI-linked activities and the use of drug proceeds to fund terrorist operations.
