Mumbai faces heavy rain and waterlogging across multiple districts

Heavy rainfall in Mumbai and surrounding regions has disrupted daily life, causing significant waterlogging in several areas. Since Saturday night, continuous downpours have flooded the eastern side of Nalasopara railway station, forcing commuters to navigate through standing water.

Other affected locations include Vasai-Virar, where roads near Center Park and Tulinj Bridge are submerged, and the Dadar area. At Kurla station, water has accumulated on the railway tracks.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, Thane, and Palghar. Forecasts indicate cloudy skies with intermittent moderate to heavy rain, thunderstorms, and wind speeds reaching 40-50 km/h. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) also confirmed expectations of continued rain and lightning.
