Separately, a viral video in Bangladesh has been identified as misinformation. Claims circulating online suggested the footage showed a Hindu woman being attacked by Islamists. However, fact-checking reveals the 31-second clip actually depicts a daylight robbery in Feni, Bangladesh, that occurred on August 19, 2026. The victim, Shahena Akhtar, was held hostage during the incident. There is no evidence of a communal motive behind the robbery.
