Mumbai lifestyle trends highlight handcrafted design and serene residential interiors

In Mumbai, new developments in lifestyle and home design highlight a blend of traditional craftsmanship and personal aesthetics. Objects by Soch, founded by architect Romit Savla, has introduced a collection of living room essentials that utilize Balharsha teakwood, brass, and stone. The collection features pieces such as the Prataha Sofa, the Poff Lounge Chair, and the Advaya Storage unit, all of which aim to reinterpret traditional hand-chiseling and joinery techniques for contemporary living.

In a different look at Mumbai living, actor Vikrant Massey’s residence on Madh Island emphasizes simplicity and comfort. The home features a white and grey color palette, a dedicated library, and a balcony offering views of the Arabian Sea. The interior design incorporates personal elements, including a dedicated prayer space with a white aesthetic and wooden flooring.
