Mumbai local trains: Viral videos show passenger fights

Two separate incidents of physical altercations between passengers on Mumbai local trains have surfaced via viral videos on social media.

In the first incident, two male passengers were filmed engaging in a violent fight involving punches and verbal abuse within a crowded general compartment of a moving train. Other passengers eventually intervened to separate the two men.

The second incident occurred in a ladies' compartment on a train traveling from Badlapur toward Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). In this video, two women are seen fighting by pulling each other's hair, requiring intervention from other female passengers to stop the dispute.

While the exact causes of the fights remain unknown, preliminary estimates suggest the conflicts may have stemmed from arguments over seating or space. The Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) are currently investigating the authenticity of the videos and reviewing CCTV footage to identify the individuals involved for potential legal action.
