Mumbai authorities have launched an investigation following a series of threatening emails sent to the Mayor’s office, schools, and high-profile targets. The messages, which allegedly claim affiliation with the ‘Khalistan National Army’, threaten a bomb explosion at the Mumbai Mayor’s office at 3:11 PM and a grenade attack on a school on October 31.

Additionally, the threats name Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s residence, ‘Jalsa’, as a target between October 31 and November 27. The emails also target singer Diljit Dosanjh, threatening a suicide attack during his scheduled concert at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse on November 27. The sender reportedly cited the 1984 Operation Blue Star as a motive for the attacks.

Security has been increased at the Mayor’s office and the Mahalaxmi Racecourse. While police and bomb squads conducted thorough searches of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters and other mentioned locations, no suspicious objects were found. Investigations by the Mumbai Police and cyber cell are ongoing to identify the sender.
