Mumbai mechanic arrested for impersonating police officer

Police in the Bandra area of Mumbai have arrested a 37-year-old man for impersonating a police officer to intimidate the public and traffic authorities. The suspect, identified as Fahad Farid Khan, is a car mechanic by profession.

The arrest occurred during a patrol near the White House building when officers noticed a suspicious white car with no license plate and tinted windows. Upon inspecting the vehicle, officers observed a blue police cap resting on the front dashboard.

When traffic police arrived to tow the vehicle, the suspect confronted the officers and engaged in verbal abuse. However, during questioning regarding the police cap and the lack of vehicle documentation, the suspect was unable to provide valid answers. Authorities seized the vehicle and the cap, and a case has been registered as investigations continue into whether the individual has committed similar offenses in the past.
