A 75-year-old man, identified as Gopalakrishna Subbaiya Pillai of Thane, died of a heart attack during a protest organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park.

The demonstration, which drew thousands of participants, was held to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
