Mumbai ranked as Asia's best food city by Taste Atlas

Mumbai has been named the best food city in Asia by Taste Atlas for 2026, earning a rating of 4.78. Globally, the Indian city is ranked fifth. Notable local dishes include bhelpuri, vada pav, modak, ragda pattice, and pav bhaji.

Japanese cities Osaka and Kyoto follow in second and third place respectively, with ratings of 4.74 and 4.70. Gaziantep, Turkey, holds the fourth position with a rating of 4.67. Singapore and Jakarta are tied for fifth and sixth place with a rating of 4.64.

The top ten list for Asia also includes Istanbul, Tokyo, Shanghai, and Bandung. Indonesia is represented by two cities in the top ten, with Jakarta and Bandung appearing in the rankings.
