Mumbai sees immersion of 6,436 Ganesh idols on seventh festival day

On the seventh day of the Ganeshotsav festival, a total of 6,436 Ganesh idols were immersed in Mumbai. According to reports from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the immersion process was completed peacefully with no untoward incidents reported by 9:00 PM on Sunday.

The breakdown of the immersions includes 6,127 domestic idols, 99 public idols from various mandals, and 210 Gauri idols. These immersions took place at designated sites and artificial immersion tanks across the city. BMC officials maintained a presence at various locations to ensure security and smooth movement of devotees throughout the day.
