Mumbai to release draft electoral rolls on August 31

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is set to publish the draft electoral rolls for all Mumbai assembly constituencies on August 31 as part of a Special Intensive Revision process. This initiative follows reports of a high number of uncollectible enumeration forms in several Mumbai and Thane constituencies.

Voters can use this period to verify their names and details in the registry. From August 31 until September 30, individuals may submit claims or objections regarding missing names, incorrect information, or requests for additions and deletions at their respective assembly constituency offices. The BMC has provided a list of these office addresses on its official website.

Additionally, the Election Commission of India has approved the rationalization of polling stations across the Mumbai city and suburban districts. Those who will turn 18 by October 1, 2026, are also eligible to apply for registration. The final electoral rolls are scheduled to be published on November 4.
