MUNA hosts exhibition on Canary Islands and Mexico indigenous links

The Museum of Nature and Archaeology of Tenerife (MUNA) is hosting the exhibition ‘Concomitancias. Legados, presencia y futuros indígenas en México y Canarias’. The exhibition explores the historical connections, parallels, and tensions between the Canary Islands and Mexico through their indigenous legacies.

Curated by Néstor Yanes and Gloria Godínez, the showcase features contributions from various museums, archives, and art centers across the Canary Islands. It addresses themes such as colonization, mestizaje, and the construction of identity from a transatlantic perspective. The exhibition is part of the XIII MUSA Mexico Festival and will remain open to the public until November 1.
