Mundo Telecomunicaciones expands to Arica with free fiber optic for social groups

Mundo Telecomunicaciones has expanded its services to Arica, Chile, providing free fiber optic connectivity to several social organizations. The beneficiaries include neighborhood councils number 47 (Lautaro Condell) and 66 (Campo Verde), as well as the Fourth and Sixth Firefighter Companies of Arica.

The initiative aims to support local activities such as the installation of security cameras, which require reliable internet connections. Additionally, the company provided sports equipment to the Magallanes Football Club and the Mallku Basketball Club to support youth development and community integration.

Local authorities, including the Seremi of Transport and Telecommunications, noted that the arrival of a new operator increases market competition and promotes digital infrastructure expansion. The company also announced the opening of a new physical branch in Arica to provide direct customer service.
