Munger: 15-year-old boy shot dead near police station
A 15-year-old boy, identified as Ishant Kumar, was shot dead in broad daylight near the Safiasarai police station in Jamalpur, Munger, on Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred after the teenager was reportedly summoned to an electricity office under the pretext of resolving an old dispute.
The victim's family alleges that the shooting was linked to a previous conflict involving the harassment of Ishant's sister. They claim that two months ago, the boy and his sister stopped attending tuition classes after Niranjan Kumar and Ayush Kumar allegedly harassed their daughter. According to family members, Niranjan Kumar shot Ishant in the head before fleeing the scene.
Following the shooting, Ishant was taken to a private clinic and subsequently referred to Sadar Hospital, where he died during treatment. Munger Superintendent of Police Syed Imran Masood visited the hospital to meet the family and has directed officials to investigate the case and arrest the suspects. Forensic teams have collected evidence from the scene as investigators probe the motive behind the attack.
