R&B artist Muni Long, formerly known as songwriter Priscilla Renea, has discussed her career transition from writing hits for artists like Rihanna and Mariah Carey to achieving solo success.

Following the viral success of her song ‘Hrs and Hrs’ on TikTok, which earned her a Grammy for Best R&B Performance in 2023, Long emphasized the importance of creative autonomy. She established her own label, Supergiant Records, to maintain control over her work before eventually signing with Def Jam.
