Munich and Dresden Cultural Programs Announced for 2026
The Kunstclub e.V. will present the Perspektiven 2026 exhibition at PLATFORM Munich from 21 May to 14 June 2026. Five emerging Munich artists – Anastasiia Batishcheva, Béla Juttner, Sara Mayoral Jimenez, Matthias Mross and Tatjana Vall – will show their work, with a jury‑ and audience‑selected prize of €10,000. Opening events include a vernissage, curator‑led tours and a jury panel featuring curators and collectors.
A slate of additional cultural events is scheduled across Germany in 2026. Netflix will screen the series “I am Frankelda.” Exhibitions include an Andrzej Wajda retrospective (21 Feb–31 Aug), “Universum Dresden” (24 Jun–1 Nov), and the “Inventing Queer Cinema” program (24 Jun–13 Sep). Film weeks such as Filmkunstwochen München (22 Jul–12 Aug) and a DEFA‑film retrospective (23 Jul–2 May 2027) are also listed, alongside retrospectives of Nicolas Roeg and other film‑related programmes.
