Munich hosts inaugural Munich Climate Week
Munich is hosting its inaugural Munich Climate Week from October 19 to 25, 2026. The event serves as a platform for climate protection, innovation, and cooperation, featuring over 300 events organized by more than 300 partner organizations from science, business, civil society, and administration.
Key highlights include the ‘Climate Fresk of Nations’ at the Altes Rathaus on October 24. This multilingual interactive workshop aims to bring together approximately 200 participants speaking over 15 languages to discuss the causes and consequences of climate change through a scientific puzzle game.
The week, held under the patronage of Mayor Dominik Krause, focuses heavily on urban climate adaptation. Scheduled activities include discussions on infrastructure resilience, heat protection through urban greenery, and various workshops covering topics such as circular economy, food security, and climate technology.
