Munich Oktoberfest hosts first Gay Monday for women and Flinta

The Munich Oktoberfest hosted its first Gay Monday, an event specifically designed as a safe space for women and Flinta individuals (female, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans, and agender people). Titled ‘Bier, Boobs, Brezn’, the event drew approximately 700 attendees to the Bräurosl festival tent.

Participants expressed gratitude for the dedicated space, noting that it allows for a freer experience of queer culture with a reduced risk of harassment or unwanted interactions compared to traditional festival settings. Organizers and attendees highlighted the importance of such inclusive environments, noting a lack of similar events for queer women in Munich and other German cities.
