Municipal administrations in Coatepec and Xalapa implement changes

The municipal administration of Coatepec has implemented several leadership changes aimed at improving public services. Mayor Jorge Ignacio Luna Hernández announced adjustments within the Directorate of Governance, where Magaly Alarcón has assumed the role of acting director, and the Municipal Commission of Water and Sanitation (CMAS). At CMAS, Linda Rivera Basurto has been appointed as acting director following her tenure as administrative sub-director, while Max Pérez remains in the Operational Sub-direction.

In Xalapa, the municipal government addressed reports regarding alleged irregularities in personnel. The Directorate of Human Resources clarified that Álvaro de Jesús Ávalos Caiceros and Pamela Sánchez Aburto are no longer part of the municipal administration, having officially ended their employment on January 15, 2026. The administration emphasized the importance of transparency and the use of official documentation to counter misinformation regarding the use of public resources.
