Municipal Archives in Chihuahua and Torreón Offer Public Training on Document Management

The Transparency, Open Government and Archives Coordination of the Municipality of Chihuahua announced a free two‑hour conference cycle on June 26 to mark International Archives Day. The event will address the role of public archives in transparency, data‑privacy and digital transformation, and will feature two specialist speakers.

The Municipal Archive of Torreón is inviting public servants to join virtual, free advisory sessions offered by the National Archives (AGN) from February to December 2026. The training aims to improve documentary management, compliance with Mexico’s General Archives Law and overall public‑sector efficiency.

Both initiatives seek to strengthen archival practices, preserve institutional memory and promote transparency in Mexican local governments.
