Municipal art programs report high success in university entrance exams

Municipal art programs in Turkey have reported significant success in helping students pass university special talent examinations for fine arts and music departments.

In Melikgazi, the Sanat Melikgazi program, operated by the Melikgazi Municipality, provided a two-month preparatory course led by professional instructors. Students from the program successfully placed into various departments at universities in Kayseri, Konya, Sivas, Eskişehir, and Niğde.

Similarly, the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality’s Genç İzmir Conservatory Preparation Courses concluded their 2026 term with notable results. Out of 17 participating students, 11 successfully gained admission to conservatory, fine arts, and music departments across different universities in Turkey. Five of these students achieved first or second-place rankings in their respective exams. The program provided training in areas such as opera-vocal arts, Turkish music, folk dance, and music technology.
