Municipal budgets for Terrassa and Sagunt presented for 2027
The City Council of Terrassa has presented its 2027 ordinary budget, totaling 283.54 million euros. This represents a 6.70% increase compared to 2026. Key features of the proposal include a freeze on local taxes, fees, and public prices. The budget relies heavily on transfers from other administrations, which are expected to reach 131.3 million euros, driven largely by a 12.52% increase in State Tax Participation (PIE).
In Sagunt, the 2027 budget includes a personnel expenditure reaching a historic high of 43 million euros, a 5.8% increase over previous forecasts. This rise includes a 4.5% salary increase for public employees as part of a national agreement, with an additional 0.5% possible if inflation exceeds 1.5%. The plan also outlines the creation of approximately twelve new positions, primarily in the Local Police, Social Work, Youth services, and Archaeology.
