Municipal company executives in Prague and Liberec see wide salary gaps

An investigation into the salaries of heads of municipal companies in Prague and Liberec has revealed significant disparities in compensation across different sectors.

In Prague, among the companies that disclosed financial information, the director of the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP), Ladislav Urbánek, receives the highest salary. In contrast, Lenka Poliaková, the director of Prague Zoo, is among those at the lower end of the scale. Some companies in the capital refused to provide data regarding their leadership's remuneration.

In Liberec, Michal Zděnek, chairman of the board for the Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou Transport Company, earns the most among the surveyed municipal entities. At the other end of the spectrum, Jiří Bliml, director of Liberec Municipal Forests, receives the lowest salary. The pay gap between the highest and lowest-paid executives in the Liberec region is approximately one million CZK.
