Municipal Corporation of Delhi holds Raahgiri Day for safety and cleanliness

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) organized a Raahgiri Day event to promote road safety, cleanliness, and waste segregation. Held in collaboration with the Raahgiri Foundation and the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), the event featured activities such as cycling, fitness exercises, and interactive games for over 300 participants, including approximately 150 students.

The initiative focused on responsible waste management under the Swachh Bharat Mission, encouraging citizens to segregate waste at the source. The MCD emphasized the message, “Don’t throw in haste. Segregate your waste,” to promote healthier public spaces and cleaner air in Delhi.

In a separate ceremony, the MCD distributed appointment letters to 187 newly appointed candidates, including 17 special educators. During this event, a Medical Screening Portal was launched to facilitate the medical examination and health monitoring of children attending MCD-run schools.
