Municipal Corporation of Delhi regularises workers and announces new recruitment

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has regularised the services of 501 sanitation workers who have served the civic body for several years. Mayor Pravesh Wahi stated that the decision aims to provide workers and their families with increased employment stability and social security, noting that sanitation workers are essential to maintaining cleanliness in the national capital.

This move follows a recent regularisation of 296 sanitation workers by the Corporation. The Mayor’s office emphasized that the decision recognizes the dedication of the workforce and is part of ongoing efforts to prioritize employee welfare and entitlements.

Separately, the MCD has announced recruitment for nine Labour Welfare Superintendent positions. The roles require a graduation degree along with a postgraduate degree or diploma in fields such as Social Work, Labour Welfare, Industrial Relations, or Personnel Management. Eligible candidates must be up to 30 years of age. Applications must be submitted offline by 12 October 2026.
