Municipal Corporation of Delhi warns agencies over sanitation negligence

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has issued a warning to concessionaire agencies regarding negligence in sanitation and waste management services. Following a review by the Standing Committee, officials identified serious shortcomings and complaints concerning the performance of these private agencies.

Jai Bhagwan Yadav, the Leader of the House for the MCD, stated that the corporation is committed to providing clean and improved civic services. He announced that underperforming agencies have been granted a 15-day ultimatum to improve their operations in areas such as waste collection, transportation, and general sanitation.

If the required standards are not met within this period, the MCD intends to take disciplinary action according to applicable rules, which may include the termination of contracts.
