Municipal councils for children and social rights inaugurated in Brazil

In Juazeiro do Norte, the 10th Municipal Conference on the Rights of Children and Adolescents was held to evaluate public policies and strengthen the Guarantee of Rights System. The event, organized by the Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance and the Municipal Council for the Rights of Children and Adolescents, focused on themes such as preventing violence, eradicating child labor, and improving socio-educational measures. The conference concluded with the election of delegates to represent the city at the Regional Conference.

In Nilópolis, the municipal government inaugurated 68 council members for the 2027-2028 biennium. These members will serve on the Municipal Councils for Children and Adolescents, Food and Nutritional Security, and Social Assistance. The inauguration included the establishment of the Municipal Council for Food Security, aimed at strengthening rights for infants, children, and the elderly.
