Municipal councils in Laranjeiras do Sul and Limeira approve local legislation

Municipal legislative bodies in Laranjeiras do Sul and Limeira, Brazil, have advanced several local projects.

In Laranjeiras do Sul, the Constitution and Justice Commission approved four legislative proposals. These include recognizing the Associação D’Água da Colônia União as a municipal public utility, authorizing a R$ 20 million credit operation with Caixa Econômica Federal for infrastructure investments, improving pharmaceutical assistance management, and restructuring the Municipal Health Council to extend counselor mandates from two to four years.

In Limeira, the City Council approved five projects and forwarded five requests to the City Hall. Key approvals include the 2027 Annual Budget Law (LOA), which has been sent to the Budget and Oversight Commission, a resolution establishing an honorific distinction for martial arts athletes, a mandate for tree planting in parking lots, and a provision for mobile device charging in public health units.
