Apucarana City Council approves security-friendly business seal

The Apucarana City Council has approved a bill to establish the ‘Estabelecimento Amigo da Segurança’ (Security-Friendly Establishment) seal. Authored by councilman Pablo da Segurança, the initiative aims to support public safety agents, including the Municipal Civil Guard, Civil Police, Military Police, and traffic agents.

The program encourages local businesses to provide essential logistical and humanitarian support to active-duty officers, such as access to restrooms, water, coffee, and rest areas. Proponents argue these simple measures improve working conditions and enhance municipal public safety efficiency.

In the same session, the council approved a project allowing the municipality to join a special debt installment program as provided by Federal Constitutional Amendment 136. Council President Danylo Acioli indicated that extraordinary sessions would be called to expedite the legislative process.
