Municipal councils in Varna and Nova Zagora to hold sessions

The Varna Municipal Council is scheduled to meet on October 29 to address 13 agenda items. Due to the absence of an adopted 2026 budget, councilors will consider funding for education, culture, sports, and social activities. Key topics include business programs for 16 municipal medical facilities and companies, funding for four new buses, and the construction of a photovoltaic power plant for Varna City Transport. Additionally, the council will discuss financial aid for the Prof. Dr. D. Stamatov Hospital, the adoption of a 2026–2030 education strategy, and the planting of 435 new trees in the Odesos district.

In Nova Zagora, the Municipal Council will also convene on October 29. The agenda includes discussions on the municipal budget, financial forecasts for 2027–2029, and management of municipal properties. Councilors will review the financial forecast for MBAL ‘Sv. Petka Bulgarska’ and potential support for the Center for Maternal and Child Health in Sliven. Other items include the sale of municipal land parcels via public auction and the construction of military monuments.
