Municipal crackdowns close illegal alcohol venues in Mexico, Chile

In the San Bartolo neighborhood of Puebla, Mexico, municipal officials removed two semi‑fixed street stalls selling beer and ordered the closure of the "Miscelánea Eduardos" shop after it failed to present the required legal documentation. Authorities also seized the illegally marketed alcohol stock.

In Chile’s Maule region, regional health and labour ministries carried out joint inspections of pubs and restaurants in Talca. The inspections uncovered sanitary and labour violations, leading to health sanctions against four establishments and requiring a fifth venue to correct observed deficiencies. Both actions were part of local efforts to curb illegal alcohol sales and improve public safety.
