Municipal health outreach in Brazil and Mexico targets students and women

The health department of Jaguariúna launched the "Entre pruebas y brotes: salud mental en las escuelas" project, delivering talks, activities and counseling on bullying and mental health to public school students. The initiative links municipal health services with schools, creates rapid‑response communication channels, and coordinates with mental‑health centers and the local tutelary council.

In Chimalhuacán, the city government organized a gender‑focused health fair in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighbourhood, offering free medical, dental, vision, family‑planning and legal advice to women from vulnerable areas. Services included consultations, vaccinations, low‑cost lenses, contraceptive implants and free legal counseling on family and criminal matters, aiming to connect women with ongoing social‑work and psychological support.

Both programs illustrate municipal efforts in Brazil and Mexico to bring public health and legal assistance directly to schools and disadvantaged communities.
