Manzanillo and Jungapeo Mayors Distribute Municipal Scholarships to Students

Rosa María Bayardo Cabrera, the mayor of Manzanillo, delivered UniBeca scholarship cards to more than 700 students at the Universidad Tecnológica de Manzanillo, each receiving a 9,000‑peso grant to support their university studies. Bayardo emphasized the program’s goal of easing financial barriers for local youth and highlighted other municipal support for academic exchanges and sports.

In Jungapeo, municipal president Norma Angélica Yañez Sierra oversaw the distribution of Rita Cetina scholarship cards to schools across the municipality. The ceremony covered dozens of schools, including primary, secondary and community centers, delivering the cards directly to students and teachers as part of a coordinated effort with the Mexican government to prioritize education in the region.
