Mayor Patty Chío advances street paving and LED lighting in Tamaulipas
Mayor Patty Chío of Tamaulipas personally supervised the resurfacing of Pino Suárez Street in the Ladrillera neighborhood, covering 4,562 square metres from boulevard Luis Echeverría to Escobedo. The project level‑and‑pave work aims to restore functional transit for local residents, who praised the mayor’s “cercanía” (closeness) and thanked her for addressing a long‑standing request.
In a separate initiative, the municipal government installed 16 new 60‑watt LED streetlights along Avenida López Portillo in the Revolución Verde colony. The mayor described the effort as “un trabajo que se viene realizando desde hace algunos días” (a work that has been ongoing for several days), emphasizing the administration’s commitment to safer, better‑lit streets for families across the city.
