Municipal markets in Mexico face infrastructure and investment needs

Municipal markets in Mexico are facing challenges regarding infrastructure and public policy investment. In Tamaulipas, the state government is coordinating with vendors at the Mercado Pedro J. Argüelles to assess structural conditions and address local needs. The Instituto Tamaulipeco de Vivienda y Urbanismo (ITAVU) is working on projects to rescue representative buildings and preserve these spaces, which serve as vital links between rural production and urban consumption.
