Municipal school sports tournaments kick off in Argentine cities

In San Salvador de Jujuy, the municipality and the provincial Ministry of Education inaugurated the Intercollegiate Primary School Games football tournament at the Centro Deportivo Municipal Nº 1. More than 90 boys’ and girls’ teams from local schools participated, and officials highlighted the event’s role in fostering participation, friendship and sport among children.

Meanwhile, in Trenque Lauquen, the municipal sports department released the results of the second week of the 2026 Juegos Bonaerenses. Competitions spanned several age groups and both genders in football, volleyball, and other disciplines, with schools such as Secundaria Nº 3, Instituto Miguel Di Gerónimo and Bernal taking top honors in their categories.

Both events illustrate municipal and provincial collaboration to promote youth sport across Argentina.
