Municipal schools prepare for Civic Parades during Patriotic Week

Municipal network schools are intensifying rehearsals for the Civic Parades scheduled for September in observance of Patriotic Week. At the Escola Municipal Professora Maria Madalena Guedes Pereira in the Rangel neighborhood, students are practicing up to four days a week during their extracurricular hours.

The school's percussion band, led by conductor Djair Roberto do Nascimento Ribeiro for ten years, is preparing for its return to the parades following a major school renovation. The parades are set to begin on September 6 at 8:00 AM on Avenida Josefa Taveira in the Mangabeira neighborhood.

Rômulo Albuquerque, head of the School Bands Section of Sedec, noted that various schools are prepared for presentations throughout the month, highlighting the work developed by both conductors and students.
